When Netalee Sheinman and Aaron Collins opened the first Banzo food cart on Library Mall, they had one goal in mind: Make the best falafel the Midwest would ever feast on. The goal appears to have been reached as Madison has embraced Banzo, fueling its expansion to a full-fledged restaurant on Sherman Avenue, a second food cart on Capital Square and a thriving delivery business in just a couple of years. Along with its award-winning falafel (which is the same kind Sheinman grew up eating in Israel), Banzo serves up other freshly made Mediterranean dishes, including hummus, babaganush, couscous, and majadra rice. American staples, such as Philly cheesesteak, beef sliders, chicken pitas and hand-cut chips, and french fries are on the menu, too. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, unique soups and salads that are made daily, and exquisite desserts. Stop by our Sherman Ave. location to dine on the outside deck and sip from our curated beer selection. The food is always fresh and never disappoints!
